Using the 'Ranges'

I am going to talk through it step by step starting with the coding. F/R = Full Range, M/R = Middle Range, T/R = Top Range, B/R = Bottom Range, C = Continuous movement. When working out how to determine the distance of the movement i.e. how far you should go down on a middle range movement or how high you should go on a bottom range movement, i would say speaking from experience that all you have to do is keep it simple and just break a fully contracted movement into 3. What is a full Range? Its just basically fully contracting and extending the muscle within the movement, e.g: bicep curl, a full range movement would be from starting position --- into fully contracted --- back to starting position.

Moving on to breaking the movements in to middle, top and bottom. Middle range is the middle of the movement, top range is the top of the movement when the muscle is fully contracted. However this in some cases can differ because of where the muscle is in your body. e.g: when performing a bench press the top range will be at the top of the movement because that's where the muscle is fully contracted, were as compared to a tricep extension the top range is actually at the bottom of the movement because that's where the triceps muscle is fully contracted. Bottom range movements would be the opposite to top range. Finally on to continuous movement This is when performing an exercise and you don't stop during the movement. e.g: when performing the bench press for 10 reps, you don't stop contracting the muscle until the 10 reps is performed. Choosing the right weight with this movement is the key.

The Training Secret offers 7 Phases designed to take a beginner to competition level:

Phase 1 – Composition (Mercury): An understanding into the importance of the ranges of movement. Learning how to feel every part of the muscle being worked and knowing your weaknesses.

Phase 2 – Balance (Venus): Highlighting and correcting your weaknesses. Developing perfect balance that allows a basis for growth.

Phase 3 – Strength (Neptune): Understanding stength curves and developing strength across the full range of motion withing every muscle group, from every angle.

Phase 4 – Power (Mars): Physical strength provided the foundation for mental power. At this phase, your body should be ready to start accessing inner power.

Phase 5 – Concentration (Saturn): It’s not easy staying concentrated on the end game. You should now have developed the mental power to do this, but can you keep it focused for long enough to create the desired changes? Concentration is key here. Make a decision and stay focused.

Phase 6- Development (Jupiter): This phase embraces the massive size of the planet jupiter, and you need to concentrate on expanding your muscles through the base already formed during the other phases. You need to keep this goal in mind through and realize your potential.

Phase 7- Success (White Moon): The White Moon is the wisest of the planets and you have now reached your goals in both composition and size. Phase 7 is all about the final stages and will help you to prepare for your stage performance with the confidence that you are now ready to take on the world. Visualize yourself standing on stage, feel what the experience feels like to be on at the top of Natural Bodybuilding. When you feel that you there in your mind, you will also be there in the body.
